Once you have been accepted as a RBPS Agent you will be set up with an agent number and will have access to our confidential price list catalogs. Does RBPS provide magazine cover images? Magazine covers are provided upon request. What happens when a publisher makes changes in price, remit, and ect? How do I receive Publisher updates? Updates from the publishers are sent to you promptly by email. What happens when a magazine ceases publication? The Publisher will notify the customer of the replacement magazine and once we are notified we update our agents. What is a cost type? The cost type is determined by how the magazine was sold. The different cost types for cash business are: Consumer (C), Trade/Public Place (T), Student/Educator (S), Library (L), and Online (D). Authorized cost types are covered in price list catalogs. Is there a magazine description list available? Yes. Your new agent packet will include a list of Descriptions. Can I sell magazines that can be shipped to other countries? We carry 100’s of titles that can be shipped worldwide to any country. How do I handle customer service inquiries? Your new agent packet will include complaint forms regarding delivery and change of address requests. What is the cancellation & Refund Policy? On cash business we must submit the publishers remit cost for every subscription entered and it is non refundable. Why do some magazines have sales restrictions? Some Publisher restrict on how their magazines can be sold. Such as, no renewal sales, no Door to Door sales, no Internet sales, no phone sales; Restrictions are covered our price list catalogs. Why can’t I sell magazines on Ebay and other auction sites? Publishers do not allow their magazines to be sold on any action site. (Plus all magazines must be sold at the publisher authorized sale price, no discounting is allowed.) What does de-authorized mean and what would cause me to be de-authorized? De-authorized means that RBPS will cancel your subscription agreement and no longer process subscriptions for your agency. Agents can be de-authorized for any of the following reasons.
